This picturesque settlement is almost 4km away from Stafilos, a beautiful lee cove with grey-green waters and numerous little taverns. It was named after a legendary local runner, who disembarked on this very beach after winning the 569 B.C. Olympic Games.
If you decide to visit Agnontas, wait for the fishing boats to come back full of fresh fish and seafood and then hit the closest restaurant! You can choose any fish you like and don’t forget to ask the chef to sprinkle your fish with a bit of seawater after it comes off the grill. |

·At Agnontas, a beautiful pine-clad beach covered in pebbles, locally known as lalaridia.·At Limnonari, a sandy beach with amazing aquamarine waters, one kilometer west of Agnontas. The isolated beaches of Kanapitsa, Glyfada and Amouditsa are a bit further down, but you can only get there by boat. |
